Widespread Panic will return to St. Augustine, Florida for a three-night run beginning this Friday. The legendary Athens, GA founded jam-band veterans will play the St. Augustine Amphitheater March 25-27.

Widespread Panic made their debut at the St. Augustine Amphitheater on October 6, 2008 and has since made a tradition of bringing the heat when they play the Florida theater, colloquially nick-named St. Auggie by fans. Since the debut run in 2008, Widespread Panic fans have since been treated to 13 shows in St. Augustine, FL, including most recently, three legendary three-night runs in 2017, 2018 and 2019.

To celebrate the band's 2022 return to the beloved St. Auggie, we wanted to revisit some fan-favorite highlights from Florida over the years.

Florida natives Derek Trucks & Susan Tedeschi are no strangers to a St. Auggie throwdown, or a firey Panic sit-in. 2. Do What You Like > Proving Ground > Surprise Valley (9-16-18)

Everyone loves a good jam-band sandwhich. Especially a piping hot 'Proving Ground > Do What You Like (Blind Faith)> Proving Ground> Surprise' double-decker sandwich. The cover hadn't been played since Phases of the Moon Festival which took place outside of Chicago, Illinois in 2014, making it the first time that drummer Duane Trucks (who joined in 2015) was able to share in the shred of this rare Blind Faith cover. The band rocked the crowd through the jam and home with the second half of Proving Ground > Surprise Valley to complete this belly-buster of a jam-sandwich.

Guitarist Jimmy Herring spared no note as he choogles swiftly through a 9-minute swamp-rock take on the Dead tune. As the song was dying out, the crowd kept the lyrics going, in true Deadhead fashion. "One way or another, this darkness got to give.... This marked the first time the band had played the song since 2015 & the crowd clearly didn t want it to end!
