Important info regarding shipping & transferring your tickets this Summer...

It's been a long time coming- but we're finally here! Summer Tours for bands across the nation are getting ramped up. We wanted to remind members of CashorTrade about some policies in place to make ticket trading as smooth as possible.

Together, we must make sure all of our buyers are set to get into their shows, so we want to remind you, sellers are responsible to provide valid tickets and be available in case there are any issues. We know this can get tough close to show time, but we need our sellers to do their best, as they have access to the original purchase.

If the buyer does not get the valid tickets they purchased in time for the event, the buyer will be refunded, so we need sellers to do everything in their power to make it happen!

WHEN SELLING TICKETS

Shipping Physical Tickets & Adding Insurance
We have been seeing massive delays in all mail services & strongly recommend using Overnight Shipping for any event occurring within 10 days of the ship date.

Even for events with longer lead times, or if tickets are being shipped within the same state, or for shipments not going very far we still recommend Overnight Shipping. We know it s expensive, but it is always better to be safe than sorry.

When shipping physical tickets, be sure to add insurance to the package to cover the tickets within the package in case they are lost or stolen. Insurance is important because the buyer will be entitled to a refund if the tickets are lost in the mail. In the event of a lost or stolen package, insurance coverage will be necessary to recoup the costs of the ticket from the mail carrier.

Shipping and insurance costs should be added when creating the ticket post. However, if you are mid-trade, you can request the buyer cover, or split, the cost of shipping using the $ symbol in the bottom left corner of the chat. Please do not resort to using outside payment methods like PayPal or Venmo as payments sent using services outside the platform will not be protected, will compromise the standing of your account, and can potentially lead to termination from the site.

Note: Not all shipping companies guarantee overnight shipping. Please make sure delivery is guaranteed for the date and time the buyer requires, and do NOT require a signature unless the buyer specifically asks for it. We want to avoid any and all delays so both buyer and seller can have peace of mind. When choosing a shipping retailer, shop around if you can. USPS & UPS may say "Overnight" but we recommend using FedEx when possible.

If there are any delays with tickets you have mailed, please contact the company you shipped with, and get as much information as possible to provide to the member.

Keep Your Barcodes Hidden, even Live Phish codes
Scammers can use these barcodes to create fake tickets that will scan at the door. If the buyer receives the tickets, and the barcode is invalid (despite the ticket being genuine), it's likely someone poached the barcode. It is extremely important to keep those barcodes hidden when sharing photos of tickets on social media or posting pictures to CashorTrade.

For Phish tickets: it's important to hide EVERY code on PTBMs. This includes the barcode, order # & the LivePhish code! Use this guide below & be sure ALL OF THESE PLACES ARE HIDDEN in your photos!

Reissuing Tickets
Physical tickets for certain events are being reissued to the original buyer's shipping address. It's important to keep your eyes out for e-mails from the original point of purchase for updated information on your tickets. If your E-Tickets are reissued as Physical Tickets, it is your responsibility to make sure that the physical tickets are shipped to your buyer's current address promptly. Keep an open & transparent dialogue with your buyer in your ticket post.

Transferring Tickets
Some events will say "E-Transfer Unavailable" when you make your sale of digital tickets. This is an option to discourage scalping & ticket reselling for a long stretch before the event nears. Don't worry, we see this often, and in almost all cases, they become transferable within 24-48 hours before the event. Sellers need to be diligent in contacting their buyers & making ticket transfers happen during this window. If you do not make the transfer to your buyer during this transfer window, you will not be paid out.

As a last resort, ticket sellers can offer their login credentials to their buyers the day of the show in order to gain access to their digital entry tickets. We encourage sellers to update their password temporarily to share with their buyers, and then change their password back after the show is over.

QR Codes/PDF Tickets
If there is a bar code or QR code that does not change on a mobile ticket, you can screenshot it and upload it directly to the CashorTrade discussion. You can do the same if it is a PDF ticket.

SMART Tickets
Tickets that appear to not have a barcode are RFID chip tickets. These tickets have a little chip within them that can be scanned for entry.

Again, it is the sellers' responsibility to do everything in their power to get the tickets in the hands of their buyers, so it s helpful to be attentive on your phone when you know your buyer is trying to get through the gate. If the buyer does not have valid tickets in time for the event, they will be entitled to a refund.*

*This does not include hard tickets shipped already, or transfers that are in the buyer's account unless they ve sent them back.

We hope this guide is helpful in clearing up confusion about the ticket transferring process when selling on CashorTrade. For any additional questions, please utilize our knowledgebase. Thanks for the continued support & happy touring!
